Dr. Carey Lockhart is a board-certified pediatric neurologist and sleep medicine specialist with over 13 years of experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents, currently accepting new patients. She provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide range of neurologic and sleep conditions, with a special passion for helping families navigate pediatric sleep challenges. Dr. Lockhart treats all childhood sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, difficulty falling or staying asleep, sleep resistance, central disorders of hypersomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, rhythmic movement disorders of sleep, and restless legs syndrome. She has a particular interest and expertise in narcolepsy.
In addition to sleep medicine, Dr. Lockhart offers full-spectrum pediatric neurology care, with particular expertise in headaches and migraines, nocturnal seizures, ADHD, and other common childhood neurologic concerns. Families appreciate her thoughtful, patient-centered approach, which focuses on understanding each child’s unique needs and creating individualized care plans that support both medical health and overall well-being.
Dr. Lockhart earned her undergraduate degree with honors in neurobiology from the University of Washington, completed medical school at Rush Medical College, and trained in pediatric neurology at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a fellowship in sleep medicine at University Hospitals Case Western Reserve. She is board-certified in Child Neurology and Sleep Medicine and is currently accepting new patients.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lockhart enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. Her hobbies include snow skiing, hiking, water sports, wine tasting, and traveling—experiences that reflect her love of adventure, learning, and connecting with different cultures.
