Meet Our Therapy Dog, Myelo
Myelo
Myelo is a Bernedoodle, trained and certified in providing emotional and therapeutic support in a healthcare setting. He has been trained in specific techniques that help children relax, manage anxiety, and feel more comfortable in the clinical environment.
Children often feel anxious or overwhelmed when visiting a doctor’s office. Myelo plays an important role in reducing these feelings and making the healthcare experience more pleasant and comforting.
Myelo helps our pediatric patients by:
- Providing emotional comfort and support.
- Assisting with relaxation techniques.
- Engaging in sensory play with children to promote comfort.
- Helping reduce stress and anxiety before, during, and after appointments.
Myelo lives with his parents and dog siblings and loves to play in his yard. He regularly has zoomies in the morning when he gets to work to help prepare for his day. His mom, Dr. Labiner, is his primary handler, and he spends most of his days with her. He loves snacks, his nylabones, and the children at our practice feel more at ease during their visits.
