Lauren Wortham, APRN
Nurse Practitioner
Lauren is an inpatient Nurse Practitioner who specializes in caring for pediatric patients with acute neurological needs. Practicing at both St. David’s North Austin and Texas Children’s Hospital, she focuses on the evaluation and management of children admitted to the hospital experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions.
Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College in 2017 and her Master of Science in Nursing (FNP) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2024.
She began her nursing career in New York City as a postpartum nurse before returning home to Austin in 2019. Lauren then served as a charge nurse on a pediatric medical-surgical unit, where she strengthened her leadership and clinical skills. Her transition into the role of EMU Coordinator at St. David’s North Austin marked a pivotal shift in her career—working closely with the Child Neurology & Consultants of Austin providers and patients, she developed a deep and lasting interest in pediatric neurology that ultimately shaped her advanced practice path.
A native Austinite, Lauren currently lives in central Austin with her husband and their two dogs. She enjoys spending time by the water and relaxing with family and friends whenever possible.
