Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic

Learning that your child has tuberous sclerosis (TSC) can be overwhelming. We’re here to help.

The TSC Clinic is a partnered program between Child Neurology Consultants of Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center. The Clinic offers a diverse team of specialists to support patients and families in all the various complexities of the disease.

Comprehensive Care for Children with TSC

The TSC Clinic became a designated site in 2012 by the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, the leading medical organization overseeing best practices and research.

Pediatric neurologist, Dr. Karen Keough, serves as co-director of the program. A comprehensive group of pediatric subspecialists were recruited to best serve patients and maintain the highest level of care associated with the Gold Standard requirements of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. These subspecialists participate in training and case review several times a year to maintain their knowledge.

Subspecialists include:

  • Cardiology
  • Endocrinology
  • Genetics
  • Genetic counseling
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Neuropsychology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Ophthalmology
  • Psychology
  • Psychiatry
  • Urological surgery
  • Interventional radiology

Care Coordination and Enrollment

Your child’s care will be coordinated through the Comprehensive Care Clinic, part of ‘Specially for Children. You can choose to transfer your child’s primary care to the Comprehensive Care Clinic or work in collaboration with their primary care provider.

If your child is under 18 years of age and you are interested in enrolling them into the TSC Program, contact the Comprehensive Care Clinic at (512) 628-1898.

The program also offers fun and educational activities for patient families such as the Annual TSC Patient & Family Picnic held every spring.
