  • Verify that your contact information is accurate
  • Pay your copay

Follow these three steps to streamline your check-in for your appointment:

  1. Check your email before your appointment.
  2. Register for your appointment at home.
  3. Save time and skip the line!

Pre-Visit FAQs for Patients

Q. What is Phreesia Online Check-In?

A: Phreesia is a technology tool that allows us to offer easier, more convenient check-in options through your smartphone, computer or tablet. It allows you to check in ahead of time and in the privacy of your home. This new option will save you time when arriving to our practice and helps ensure that your health records will always be up-to-date. The information you enter is private and secure and will allow our team to take better care of you.

Q: Is the Phreesia system secure?

A: Yes. Phreesia provides industry-leading privacy and security for our patients’ data. Phreesia is held to the same standards as Child Neurology Consultants of Austin. For additional information about Phreesia’s security, please visit

Q: Do we need to use the new system for every appointment?

A: Yes. But once you have completed the initial registration, the process of prepping for future appointments is quick and easy.

Q: Do I need to download an app to do mobile check-in?

A: No. There is no app - you simply click the link provided in the text message or email we send you. This allows you to securely answer any registration and medical questions necessary for your appointment.

Q: Can I complete the forms in a language other than English?

A: Yes! Mobile registration is available in 20 different languages.

Q: What happens if I can’t finish my registration before the appointment?

A: That’s okay! If you have not completed your registration before the visit, see one of our receptionists, and they will be happy to send you a new link.

Q: What should I look for in my inbox when I receive the Pre-Visit email?

A:  An email will come from with the subject: “Check-in online for your upcoming appointment.” The first line of the email will show the name and phone number of your doctor’s office. The email will also show the date, time and location of your appointment.

Q: What should I expect when I start the pre-visit questionnaire?

A:  You will see security questions confirming your date of birth, address and phone number. Once your phone number is confirmed, you will receive a code via voicemail or text that you must type into the website before proceeding to the next step.

Q: I do not have access to any of the phone numbers I am given to select on the website and/or the phone numbers listed are not correct. How do I proceed?

A: The phone numbers that you are attempting to match are what the practice currently has on file. Please remember to provide the practice with your current phone number to prevent issues. If you need to change your phone number for any reason, you will need the practice to resend your pre-visit invitation after changing the phone number in their records.

Q: The phone number that is listed does not receive text messages. How do I receive a 6-digit code over the phone?

A: When choosing your phone number in the system, you can change the method of delivery from “Text” to “Voice”. This will send the code as a phone call via recorded message.

Q: What if I have questions or feedback?

A: You can talk with any of our receptionists in the clinic or send a secure message through the Patient Portal.
