Cordelia A. Garcia, FNP-C

Cordelia earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in 2000 as well as her master of science in nursing in 2013, graduating with honors from the family nurse practitioner program.

The majority of Cordelia’s nursing career has been devoted to pediatric critical care. She practiced in Corpus Christi at Driscoll Children’s Hospital before moving to Austin where she worked as a pediatric ICU nurse at Dell Children’s Medical Center. At Dell, she was part of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation program serving as an ECMO specialist.

Additional past experience includes pediatric specialty services, also in Austin, where Cordelia assisted with general neurology.

Cordelia’s extensive knowledge of nursing has allowed her to practice in a variety of roles including pediatric ICU transport team, neonatal ICU, relief house supervisor, inpatient utilization review case management, pre-access case manager, and health service coordinator for an intermediate care facility.

Although Cordelia claims she will always be a south Texas girl, she has fallen head over heels for Austin and central Texas, proudly calling it home. Cordelia is married and the mother of three wonderful children, two four-legged children, and one amazing grandchild. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and sports, but most of all spending time with her family.
